A good machine. does what it is expected

I have had this juicer for about a year now, and feel that it is worth it. Honestly, it is not that hard to clean up. It seems durable enough when used (average at least 2-3 times a week), and so far no problems. I have read some of the other reviews, and I guess I havn’t experienced any problems yet. If you use it daily or more, I guess it may become a bit cumbersome to clean every time, and durability with some of the pieces may become a problem, in reference to the plastic screw the blade turns which broke for one of the other reviewers. At this point, this machine is fun for myself and the kids to use, chewing through carrots and apples easily. I would advise to peel oranges before juicing, although the machine says you can leave them whole, It makes a difference in the taste of the juice as well as the wear on the machine. So an average juicer like me, this make a cost efficent buy. More regular juicers might shop around more.

Good Juicer

This is my first juicer and overall I am satisfied. There is enough juice extracted that I am not upset about wasting money. I understood going into this that there is clean up involved. But the whole things usually only takes about 5-7 minutes. The reason why I purchased this was because it was reasonably priced and it has a lifetime gurantee on the motor. plus you can order replacement blade and all for 20.00 bucks on the jack lalanne website. I noticed that if i put like a few prigs of spinach insted of a full handful it will go straight to the pulp catcher. but other than that I am satisfied.

no different than any other juicer

Bought this juicer expecting less waste than the other juicers (they claim 30% less) but that was not the case. There are slices and chunks of apples, carrots, even spinach coms out whole. It does not produce more juice than a $40 juicer, I had both and compared, so the amount of fruits and vegetables wasted is at least the same, not less. And they come out wet not dry as on the TV commercial. You are paying for the name, not worth the extra $.

motor runs randomly, can’t figure out what’s wrong

I will give it 5 stars for juicer functionality, but two start for motor operation. This juicer ran fine first year. Now when I try to assemble all the fruits and ready to juice, the motor does not run fast. I can hear the sligt noise like the motor is trying to run, but it can’t run fast to the full speed. After some manouvering, disassembling, assembling, then on/off, the juicer will run and do it’s job. But, I am very disappointed, then when I want to make juice, the motor just doesn’t run. It ruins my excitement of making the juice. I would say that the machine is very good when it runs, but it is highly unreliable.

Summary: The Jack LaLanne JLPJB Power Juicer Juicing Machine has some very mixed reviews to say the least. There will be a full indepth review and analysis over the next few days and untill then I would recemmend the  Breville Compact Juice Fountain at a similar price which has far better and solid feedback. Expect to pay around $84 for the Jack Lalane Juicer.

This juicer does an excellent job of juicing oranges. It has an adapter for smaller fruits such as limes. It reverses direction on successive presses, which probably increases the total juice yield. The stainless steel body is attractive. It is easy to clean. It is considerably less expensive than many other juicers and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

I was a little concerned about how this juicer would measure up to our stronger wattage one which was heavy to lift down from an upper cupboard, the pitcher was way too large, and the pitcher handle had broken off. I like the compact size of this model, and it has NO problem efficiently juicing oranges for OJ or lemons for recipes that require juice. I only have an electric juicer because my wrists are sensitive (everyone who uses a keyboard too much should avoid the repetitive movements required with an old-fashioned glass juicer). Am very satisfied with this Oster 3186.

I bought this juicer and I have to say that the power is just greater for the price, I was not expecting good quality , I even bought one for my bf…I would recommend it to anyone who wants a cheap juicer. Just keep in mind that it is not a professional juicer.

A Very Nice Home Orange Juice Squeezer

This Oster Orange Juice squeezer is easy to use, to clean and works very well to squeeze a few oranges daily for a couple of 6-8 ounce glasses of juice. Because it has a light duty motor requiring a two minute rest after four continuous minutes of use (per the instruction manual) it is not recommended for heavy duty squeezing.

Summary: For a very cheap and affordable Citrus Juicer the Oster 3186 Juice-n-serve does a good job,  just dont go to heavy in one session. Expect to pay around $18.

Great product. It even beats my other juicer that I bought for over $80 from sears. It produces more juice than my older $80 one too. And there is no need to cut them up to small pieces to feed them into the juicer. And the juice drips right in to the bottom storage container. So overall this is a great juicer for the price. Not Bad For Nominal Use

I started using the CitrusMate Plus in late August and it’s now officially dying (gears are grinding and cone is not turning when decent pressure is applied]. IN ALL FAIRNESS this is not a bad juicer for those who like a glass of orange juice for breakfast, or occasionally juice lemons for cooking. The power was surprisingly decent (I say surprisingly because my expectations were not that high) and it came with a handy, additional cone for larger fruit sizes. The design is good and features a generous 34 oz. pitcher, and clean up is easy. So I don’t have a lot of personal complaints and the unit also had pretty good reviews overall.

HOWEVER, it should be noted that if you plan on juicing a 5lb. bag or two of lemons PER WEEK, this is probably NOT your juicer. I’m sure this unit was intended for ‘consumer’ and not commercial use, yet I’m torn between expecting a ‘lower-priced model’ to fail from excessive use versus expecting a somewhat longer lifespan ‘regardless.’ Part of me is disappointed that it is conking out already so I’m kinda on the fence with this one. It’s hard to say whether I prematurely wore it out or that this model has a limited lifespan out of the box. And one month is a rather short lifespan!

My suggestion is to choose a juicer carefully based on your personal needs and usage demands. I’m going to try the ‘Tribest Citrus Juicer’ based on the good reviews. It’s almost twice as expensive but may be better suited for my particular juicing needs.

The first week we had it, we loved this juicer and made several containers of OJ. Around week 3-4, the motor started clicking and slipping when we pushed down hard, so we stopped pushing hard. Keep in mind that when I say “hard” I mean about 10 lbs of force with one hand, less than you would use for a manual juicer.

Long story short, after another week the clicking got worse, and we had to use progressively less and less force. Now it is so flimsy it doesn’t work well at all, and to get it to work (I kid you not) I have to use earplugs because the clicking is so loud. The machine is light plastic and inexpensive, so I can’t really say I’m surprised. I have to imagine that most of these other reviewers wrote their reviews in the first few weeks of use when it worked great.

If you juice oranges a few times a month, then this juicer is for you. If you want regular juice, then I would recommend another brand/model.

Summary: The Black & Decker CJ525 will juice citrus fruits at a very cheap price, it is not recomended for anything other than a glass or two of fresh orange and will not take any kind of punishment. Alternatively you could try the Oster 3186 Juice-N-Serve at a similar low price. The Black & Decker CJ525 will cost around $19.

I have a wonderful Breville Juicer but wanted something less complicated for grapefruit, orange juice. This is a great machine at a reasonable price. I was convinced to try juicing from my sister-in-law, who made me try one of her morning drinks. I was surprised to really like it! Pretty Good Deal

I purchased this for my wife who really likes smoothies and the such and thought she’d like a juicer. I researched what was out there and decided on this one because of price, company reputation and the reviews. I agree that a toothbrush is probably the way to go for cleaning the extractor/blade. The brush supplied works but it is small. It works exceptionally well for the price and gets used almost daily. The other reviewers are right about leafy items. They tend to be hard to juice unless harder items are added with or right after. Other than that I believe this to be a good product for the money. If it holds up over time I’d say an excellent deal.

The juice is generally good and extraction is effecient for a machine of this diminutive size and price which will easily outgun machines costing much more than the $85 – $90 this will cost you at Amazon.

Fruit Size matters

The Breville compact Juicer sports a 3 inch (7.6 cm) feeding shoot, easily allowing large chunks of fruit and veg, small apples, oranges, brocoli, carrots to go in whole with no fuss and the machine has no problems at all in chopping and juicing them up.

Sometimes you will have some chunks that will be fed into the pulp chamber unjuiced that have been forced through due to the powerfull motor’s actions but this is a small negative and these can be re-fed through the machine to make sure you get every last drop of juice.

The Hurricane needs a solid counter to be positioned and secured onto via its clamp and will
attatch on up to 1 and 1/2 inch thickness countertops or tables.  This means the juicer is not
suitable to just sit on your workspace and needs consideration (have you got a countertop
the juicer can be clamped onto).  If you do have somewhere to clamp the machine then you will
find the Hurricane to be very stable and secure which makes your job of juicing much easier.

The dreaded juicer cleanup
